About us

Chilean Adventures Founded by Chilean Eduardo Doerr and North American Todd Ericson in 2002, Chilean Adventures was actually in the works from the early 1990´s when Doerr and Ericson met while working in the adventure-travel industry. Experience, maturity, and many happy customers later, Chilean Adventures was born. In 2007 Todd married Marcela Montero and shortly after they became sole owners. As co-owners, we are proud of our group of guides. Since we work long hours alongside them, we choose guides that are young, energetic, well-travelled, fun, professional and “Buena onda!”.

Adventure to life!

Chilean Adventures Many guests first come with Chilean Adventures because of our pristine, unexploited mountains and rivers but the majority of our clients return because of the bond they have created with our guides. Our guides are a tight-knit family of professionals that love what they do and love sharing their local knowledge and technical skills. Here are some more numbers related to our small group of qualified guides: 100% of our guides have guided on more than one continent. 100% of our guides are bilingual. 80% of our guides are Chilean. 30% of our guides are tri-lingual. 60% of our guides studied Eco-tourism in college. 50% of our guides are female. 90% of our guides are most likely playing or working in the mountains right now!
